The tour starts at 09:00 am when our tripvam representative will pick you up from your hotel.
We depart for Bankya where is situated the deserted residency of the ex-leader of Bulgaria during communism. Todor Zhivkov was ahead of the country between 1954-1989!
The building was built in the architectural style of the late communism while its walls are keeping the secrets of that age.
After Bankya we’ll visit the biggest residential estate in Bulgaria which was built during the communism – Sofia’s Liulin neighborhood which has a population of about 121000 and that makes it larger than most Bulgarian cities!
We’ll also visit the Historical Museum where is situated the city residency of Todor Zhivkov.
In the Museum of Socialist art, we’ll be able to see what the Bulgarian art was looking during the communist era which lasted between 1944-1989.
Next is the Soviet army monument – one of the symbols of the socialist rule and the then big brother the Soviet Union which defeated the fascism.
Our next stop is NDK – the National Palace of Culture which is the largest congress hall on the Balkans and nowadays still holds the annual congress of the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
Our tour will end at about 6:00 pm.
